- 6 to 8 Anjou or Bartlett pears (peeled, cored and chopped)
- 2 vanilla beans
- 2 cinnamon sticks
- Place pears in a pot and pour in enough water to cover them.
- Add vanilla beans and cinnamon sticks.
- Simmer over medium heat until pears are tender.
- Allow pears to cool, then remove cinnamon sticks and vanilla beans.
- Puree in blender or with an immersion blender.
- Store in the refrigerator or freeze.
