Below are two delicious smoothie recipes prepared by Nourish Cafe & Market that can help you incorporate more greens into your diet.
Ingredients
Blueberry Chocolate Smoothie
- 1 cup almond milk (less for thicker smoothie)
- ½ cup frozen blueberries
- ½ frozen banana
- handful of spinach or kale
- 1 tablespoon raw cacao
- 1 tablespoon almond butter
- ¼ teaspoon almond extract (optional)
- 1 scoop chocolate protein powder
- 1/8 tsp cinnamon
- Superfood extras: maca, collagen, chia seeds
Classic Green Smoothie
- 1 frozen banana
- 1 cup frozen strawberries (or pineapple)
- 1 teaspoon spirulina or chlorella
- 1 handful of spinach
- 1 tablespoon of flax seeds
- 1 cup almond milk
Instructions
- Blend in a high powered blender (ie Vitamix) for 30-45 seconds
